Share wonderful views of Lyme Bay & the Isle of Portland from two ridges; one to the North and the other to the East of Abbotsbury. Our route includes the Hardy Monument, a geological information site, and joins the SW Coast Path; cafe afterwards. 11 miles, 3 significant climbs, ‘Medium’ difficulty.
A 12-mile walk starting near Simonsbath, then down the upper Exe valley and back via Larkbarrow and Lanacombe. Moderate - there are a few short steep climbs and descents, but overall only 350m/1150' of ascent. One (inhabited) house on the whole route. Refreshments at Exford afterwards.
