Walk - Compton Dundon - Sally & Susan

SATURDAY.  Sally R & Susan T will lead a walk in the Compton Dundon area (between Street and Somerton).  Starting from the National Trust parking area by Street Youth Hostel, along to the Hood Monument and Combe Hill, drop down into Compton Dundon, up Dundon Hill (nature reserve and ancient hill fort) for lunch at the beacon.  Return via Compton Dundon church with its ancient cedar tree, across fields and a steepish final ascent up Ivy Thorn Hill back to the car park.  Views across the Levels and (hopefully!) autumn colours.  Tea & cake in the car park.  About 8-9 miles.
