Walk - Velvet Bottom - Chrissie
SUNDAY. Chrissie is leading a walk from Velvet Bottom on the Mendips, above Cheddar Gorge and over to Beacon Batch. 9 miles, moderate with some hills.

Walk - Wiveliscombe - Thelma
SUNDAY. A 10 mile moderate walk from Wivey (Croft Way car park) to Hurstone and back via Pyncombe Lane. Tea and cake in the White Hart afterwards.

Weekend away - Wye Valley - Fran
FRIDAY - MONDAY. A weekend in the River Wye Lodge next to the River Wye near Lydbrook in the Forest of Dean. Walks on the Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Contact Fran for more details and to book.

Walk - Lydeard Hill - Paula
SUNDAY. Paula C is leading a walk on the Quantocks from Lydeard Hill to Triscombe and West Bagborough. 8 miles, fairly easy with one steep climb just before the end. This is the walk that was moved from 26th June due to the heavy rain.

Walk - Quantocks - Val
SUNDAY. Val C will lead a walk on the Quantocks from Dead Woman's Ditch, heading north past Dowsborough Hill Fort and on to Bicknoller Post, before returning via Crowcombe Park Gate. About 8 miles, moderate. Bring your own refreshments.

Walk - West Pennard - Sally
Sat/Sun TBC. Sally R will be leading a walk in the West Pennard area, near Glastonbury. About 10 miles, moderate.

Walk - Stourhead - Jan & Pat
SUNDAY. Going east this time, Pat and Jan will lead a ridge walk taking in White Sheet Hill and Castle Hill. Splendid views on this moderate 8 mile walk. Tea and cake in the NT cafe afterwards.

Walk - Swell bluebells and herons - Jane & Annie
SUNDAY. Jane L & Annie will lead an 8/9 mile circular walk from Swell Wood RSPB reserve, taking in Isle Brewers, Isle Abbots and Fivehead. The gradient ranges from flat to moderately sloping to steep. Expansive views, ancient woodland, bluebells, wildflowers, riverside paths and herons – what else could you ask for? Oh yes ...... cake!!

Walk - Tiverton - Stan & Philippa
SUNDAY. Stan & Philippa will lead a fairly level 8.5 mile walk along the canal from Tiverton to Halberton, returning via Halberton village and the disused Tiverton branch railway. Finish at the Canal Tea Garden.

Walk leaders needed - 3/4 May
A walk leader is needed for 3-5 May (the early Spring bank holiday weekend), then the weekends below.
Contact Stan if you can lead on one of these weekends (check the calendar for updates).
Saturday 17th May (Sunday is the navigation day, but it would be good to have a 'normal' walk as well)
24-26 May (another bank holiday)
14/15 June onwards

Walk - Dartmoor - Pete
SUNDAY. Pete W will lead a walk on Dartmoor from Combestone Tor car park near Holne. 8 miles.

Navigation and map reading day - Fyne Court - Stan & Mike
SUNDAY. A day of map reading and navigation practice based at Fyne Court on the southern Quantocks, organised by Stan and Mike W. In the morning we will cover map reading and navigation indoors, then we will divide into small groups and navigate a short route in the Fyne Court area. Tea/coffee etc. (and debrief) at Fyne Court afterwards. A small charge is payable to cover room hire.
Likely to be limited to 12 + helpers. We are planning to run a second event ...

Walk - Crook Peak - Martyn & Sally
SUNDAY. Martyn and Sally will lead a strenuous circular walk of 9.25 miles starting from Compton Bishop with a climb up on to Crook Peak.

Walk and weekend away - Exmoor - Nigel
FRIDAY-SUNDAY. Join Nigel for a weekend (book your own accommodation) - or just a Sunday walk - on Exmoor, based in the Horner area.

Cornwall Coast Path Camping Weekend - Kim
Friday - Monday. The next stage of Kim's coast path walk.

Weekend away - Dartmouth - Stan & Philippa
FRI-SUN. This year's Devon weekend will be in south Devon, based on Dartmouth with coastal and riverside walks. Same format as last year - book your own accommodation and optional meal on the Saturday.
Saturday walk upriver to Dittisham, cross over to Greenway and walk back to Kingswear, about 10 miles and 680m of ascent.
Saturday meal in the Cherub or Dartmouth Arms.
Sunday coastal walk TBC - likely to be in the Coleton Fishacre area, 7 miles and 700m of asc ...
