Weekend away - Swanage
FRI-MON. A long weekend at Cliff House, Swanage organised by Fran. It's an 8-bedroomed house with self-catering facilities, within walking distance of the coast and town centre. Kim and Chrissie will lead walks on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday (you don't have to come on them all) and we will have shared meals in the evening.
You can come on the walks if you aren't staying:
SATURDAY: John will lead the walk today. We take the steam train from Swanage to Corfe Castle, then walk back along the extended ridge of Brenscombe Hill. Next we go through Black Down joining the coast at Studland Bay. After coffee at the National Trust café, we return to Swanage on the coast path including Old Harry Rocks. 12 miles and 1400 feet of climb. Train ride will cost about £14.
SUNDAY: Kim is leading this walk. Catch the bus to Kingston Matravers. Walk back along the coast path to Swanage - it’s about 10.5 miles. Lots of lovely views, old chapel, lighthouse etc. If you have a bus pass, please bring it.
