Parking charges

You may have noticed that car parking in some coastal locations is now excessively expensive - e.g. £15 all day. Examples include Lyme Regis, Lynton & Lynmouth, Ilfracombe centre, and Mortehoe. Some don't have reduced winter charges, or the winter season is only November to February. Please avoid organising walks so that members have to pay these sorts of prices. There are often alternatives slightly out of town, even if they mean rethinking the walk slightly. National Trust car parks can be an option as they tend to be fairly reasonably priced and there are often enough NT members on a walk to park for free.
